“General Buhari budgeted ₦179 billion for National Livestock Transformation Plan, and ₦48 billion for education in his budget. Now you see that COWS matter more to Buhari than educating Nigerian youths,” Reno Omokri, an author, lawyer and Ex-aide to Former President Goodluck Jonathan said.
This is his reaction to the 2020 budget passed by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Omokri, who took to his verified twitter account on Friday, said, “By budgeting ₦48 billion for education (12% of what Jonathan budgeted for education in 2014), General Buhari is telling youths that education is not important. If you need a certificate, go get an AFFIDAVIT!
“There are 32 million children and youths of school age in Nigeria and General @MBuhari budgets ₦48 billion for their education. There are 469 members of the National Assembly and General Buhari budgets ₦125 billion for them. How can we ever progress like this?”.
