Soldiers of the Nigerian military are currently shooting at civilians in the LGA of Oyigbo, Rivers State, Family Writers Press said in a report on Thursday.
This comes barely 24 hours after the deployment of soldiers in the region, following the #EndSARS protest which resulted to the burning of 3 police stations and a court.
“Soldiers are currently killing civilians, men and women, at Obigbo LGA in Rivers State over the #EndSARS protest.
“At the time of writing this report, an unconfirmed number of people have been shot dead and others with gunshot wounds,” the report said.
At least 8 people, including 2 police officers, were killed in Oyigbo on Wednesday as angry youths attacked police stations over the shooting of one of the protesters.
